After initially acquiring a one-third stake in Austrian extrusion die maker EMO in 2016, Cloeren Incorporated has acquired all the remaining outstanding shares of EMO GesmbH, Micheldorf, Austria.

Established in 1996, EMO is a manufacturer of extrusion Dies serving the plastic extrusion market. “The acquisition of EMO provides Cloeren with a strategic footprint on the European continent. EMO provides Cloeren with a manufacturing, service and repair facility in Europe, and expands Cloeren’s offerings through the integration of EMO’s product lines in to its portfolio. The extrusion die industry remains a unique business requiring distinctively skilled engineers, designers, and tool and die makers to produce extrusion tooling; and EMO has such a highly accomplished pool of talented craftsman that will contribute greatly to Cloeren quality products”, says Cloeren CEO Peter Cloeren. “We are excited to integrate EMO and its staff into the Cloeren family.” Coincidental with the acquisition, EMO will operate as Cloeren GmbH.

Established in 1979, privately held Cloeren Incorporated is the world’s largest manufacturer of extrusion Dies and coextrusion Feedblocks to the global extrusion industry; serving the cast film, extrusion coating and laminating, web coating, sheet, oriented films, and woven and nonwoven extrusion processes.
